---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not make this the year you become the very best friend possible for YOU!
Create new rituals to make you feel nurtured when you're tired or upset.
For example, the other evening I felt a bit low and couldn't snap out of it. Which was fine as I also knew that this was something I needed to be with. I believe that where I am right now is where I am meant to be because that's how I learn and grow. But instead of moping on the chair I did something that I haven't done in ages. I lit some candles as well as an oil burner I'd come across recently. I put some relaxing music on and then sat still. I wasn't trying to 'fix' my feelings instead it just felt as if a friend was comforting me.
I really believe that the actions I took allowed me to be OK with feeling unhappy and in turn helped me get out of that mini trough quicker than if I hadn't been my own best friend.
Warmest wishes,
Zoe
Thanks for this great reminder Zoe! We often do treat our friends better than we treat ourselves. It's time we pampered ourselves a bit too!

Teri, Thank you for your comments and I totally agree! I would also like to thank you for helping me gain a clearer perspective on being a good friend to myself. Often the answer to some well deserved self-care is right under our nose and requires such simple actions.

A great post Zoe. One of the principles of Attraction by Thomas Leonard is "Become Incredibly Selfish" and is often misunderstood.
If we don't take care of ourselves then we are not taking care of our best resource. This is something that women in particular have trouble embracing.
I had a lovely vision when I pictured you just being in silence in candlelight and honouring the silence and accepting the feelings. Very powerful and yet so simple.
